# How to Make:

01 - Combine sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil in a bowl. Toss to coat evenly and let marinate for 10 minutes to tenderize.
02 - Whisk together 2 tbsp soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes in a small bowl until well combined. Set aside for cooking.
03 - Heat a large nonstick skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned on edges. Transfer to a plate and reserve.
04 - In the same skillet, add a splash of water or oil. Stir-fry bell peppers and red onion for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender but still vibrant in color.
05 - Return beef to the skillet. Pour in prepared sauce and toss everything together for 2-3 minutes until evenly coated and heated through.
06 - Divide cooked brown rice among 4 bowls. Top each portion with beef and pepper mixture. Garnish with spring onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The sauce hits that perfect balance of savory, sweet, and just enough heat
  • Everything cooks in one skillet so cleanup is practically nonexistent
02 -
  • Dont skip the cornstarch in the beef marinade, its the secret to that velvety texture
  • Cook the beef in batches if your skillet is crowded or it will steam instead of sear
03 -
  • If the sauce looks too thick, add a splash of water or chicken broth
  • Let the skillet get properly hot between adding ingredients for better browning
